He is the founder and chairman of D4V and also a co-founder of IDEO, which was established in 1991. He leverages IDEO’s expertise in design and business to connect D4V’s portfolio with a global network. He is the author of bestsellers such as "Creative Confidence: Unleashing the Creative Potential Within Us All" and "The Design of Business: Why Design Thinking is the Next Competitive Advantage." Mr. Takano joined Daiwa Securities after receiving his master’s degree from Waseda University and later joined Daiwa Institute of Research, Goldman Sachs Asset Management, PIMCO, Forbes Japan.
