Founder BIO

Hirohira Maekawa graduated from Hokkaido University Graduate School of Engineering and obtained an MBA from GLOBIS University. He spent 8 years at Toshiba's Research and Development Center, where he focused on wireless communication research, standardizing international wireless LAN protocols, and semiconductor chip development, securing numerous patents. In 2009, he joined the Innovation Network Corporation of Japan, working on investments in robotics, IT, and software in Japan and the U.S. He has been actively involved in improving portfolio companies' performance, achieving several exits through IPOs and sales. Since 2016, he has been with Mistletoe, serving as Chief Investment Officer since 2017, overseeing investment activities across 14 countries and maintaining a strong network with top investors and entrepreneurs in Japan, Silicon Valley, and Europe.
