Joined McKinsey & Company in 1986. Earned an MBA from Harvard Business School in 1990, and became a Partner at McKinsey in 1996. In 1999, he founded DeNA Co., Ltd. and currently serves as the Chairman of the Board. Since 2015, he has also been the owner of the Yokohama DeNA BayStars. In 2019, he founded Delight Ventures and became its Managing Partner. He is also the author of the book "Ugly Management."
