Reid Matsumoto established Hoku Inc. in February 2017. Prior to forming Hoku, Reid was head of equity trading at Credit Suisse Japan from 2010. Responsibilities included all aspects of positioning, risk management, compliance, and regulatory issues. Before joining Credit Suisse, Reid was Managing Partner & Co-Chief Investment Officer at Envision Asset Management, a Japan focused, equity long/short hedge fund.� Reid also spent 5 years at Lehman Brothers Japan and before that 3 years with Goldman Sachs in both NY and Japan. Reid graduated magna cum laude from Princeton University with a B.S. in Economics and a certificate in East Asian Studies. He was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii.
