Born in Oasaka, 1970. After joining Toei Eiga Kogyo and working in theaters in Hiroshima and Osaka, he was transferred to T-JOY CO., LTD. shortly after the company's establishment, where he was involved in the launch of the cinema complex chain. After serving as manager of T-JOY Oizumi (now T-JOY Seibu Oizumi), Hiroshima Wald 11, and some other theaters, he supervised the launching of Shinjuku Wald 9 (one of the biggest movie theaters in Tokyo). Moved to the Entertainment Division of the company, being in charge of producer/distributor in "Haru tono tabi" (2010, Masahiro Kobayashi) "After School Midnighters" (2012, Takekiyo Hitoshi), "Saga no Gabaibachan" (2006, Yoshichi Shimada), "009 Re: Cyborg" (2012, Kenji Kamiyama) and "EVANGELION:3.0 YOU CAN (NOT) REDO." (2012, Hideaki Anno). In addition to actively organizing and developing the lineup of animation films at Shinjuku Wald 9, he launched Japan's first live-viewing business in movie theatres such as live-viewing “Gekicine” from Gekidan-shinkansen which is a Japanese theatre company also has been actively promoting overseas expansion, including direct distribution to Asia. In 2014, he was promoted to the Film Coordination Department of TOEI COMPANY, LTD. and started building a successful career as a film producer. He has produced “A Bride for Rip Van Winkle” (2016, Shunji Iwai), "HOWLING VILLAGE" series (2019-, Takashi Shimizu), "The Blood of Wolves" series (2018, 2021, Kazuya Shiraishi),“First Love” (2020, Takashi Miike, premiered for Directors’ Fortnight at Cannes Film Festival), "Revolver-Lily" (2023, Isao Yukisada), "Shin Masked Rider" (2023, Hideaki Anno), and "KYRIE" (2023, Shunji Iwai) as well as distributed "EVANGELION:3.0+1.0 THRICE UPON A TIME" (2021, Hideaki Anno) which went to be a blockbuster surpassing the 10 billion yen mark at the box office. After almost ten years at TOEI, in April 2023, he ended up being a head producer of TOEI COMPANY, LTD and founded K2Pictures with the aim of creating a new form of film production.
