Joined Shizuoka Bank Ltd. in 1981. After working at a branch for four years, he was consistently involved in domestic and international market operations in the Market Sales Department, Hong Kong Branch, and Treasury Department. He served as head of the Treasury Department in 2005, and has consistently achieved high investment performance exceeding the regional bank average by more than 50 basis points since 2007. He was appointed director in January 2013. He left the bank in September 2015 and worked at Sparx Asset Management Co., Ltd., before founding Wa Capital Co., Ltd. in February 2016 and assuming his current position as President and CEO.
