UTokyo Innovation Platform, also known as UTokyo IPC, is a Tokyo-based venture capital firm and incubator focusing on venture businesses born out of the University of Tokyo. As a public-private fund backed by the Japanese government, the firm is dedicated to promoting innovation by funding and supporting entrepreneurs and business seeds in partnership with the private sector. UTokyo IPC invests across all stages of development, across diversified sectors and different regions and countries, but only in businesses that are related to the University of Tokyo or other public universities in Japan (i.e. businesses using research outcomes, intellectual properties, or technologies developed at such universities).
