After graduating from the Faculty of Law at Waseda University in 1996, he joined Itochu Corporation, where he gained experience in the Finance and Foreign Exchange departments. In 2000, he joined CyberAgent. He was involved in the launch of many new businesses and subsidiaries, including CyberAgent FX and Greecrest, and served as CEO for multiple companies. In 2004, he became a director. In 2006, he became the first president of CyberAgent Ventures (now CyberAgent Capital), where he built the venture investment business and organization in Japan and other Asian countries. In 2008, he was appointed Executive Director and COO of the headquarters. From 2010, he concurrently served as the president of the U.S. subsidiary and was stationed in Silicon Valley for about two years. From 2013 to 2017, he was a co-founder and general partner at WiL. In 2018, he founded XTech and XTech Ventures. In 2018, he became the CEO of Excite Holdings. In 2022, he was appointed as a director of the Japan Venture Capital Association.
